Jenkin's Guitars unique features

Tops are engelman spruce, sitka spruce, redwood or cedar and are individually selected for stiffness, weight and tap tone. My braces are carbon fiber laminated with sitka spruce that is strong yet very light. I sculpt my braces by hand, tap testing for tone as I go. For more thoughts on sound boards see my article in the notes section.

My sides are three ply laminates with heavy and ornate side braces. This very light but extremely strong construct removes structural stress from the top allowing it to vibrate more freely.

My necks are laminated hardwoods. This one is birds-eye maple and mahogany. This makes a much stronger and stiffer neck than a one piece. The neck bolts on and can be removed in less than a minute if needed for reset or repair.

All my instruments feature a lower bout access panel. This makes installing electronics and repairs a snap. Incidentally it also allows you to fully admire the beauty of the guitars interior.

I recommend locking Schaller or Sperzel tuning machines. They are easy to re-string and the guitar will stay in tune.
