The June meeting was well attended and we welcome our new members Andy Avera, Joe Christian and Bill Morgan.

 |
Andy Avera and Bill Morgan at their first LINT meeting. |
| President Bo Walker presents a certificate of appreciation to our
Founding President Don Chesser. Don’s enthusiasm and
organizational skills led to LINTs creation. We all own him our
thanks! (He also received a nice dinner gift from the members) |
 |
 |
Dan Fobert brought this really cool amplified classical which he calls the
“AS-10”. Nice job Dan! (Ask him to explain the “AS”
to you sometime) |
 |
Bob Harris updates us on his acoustic basses which are
nearing completion. He, also, made his own universal work board ala
Fred Carlson’s design. We were all impressed by Bob’s accurate workmanship. |
 |
 |
Fobert’s other new guitar is a beautiful carved sympathetic
string guitar. He was fascinated by Fred Carlson’s design
ideas and within several months created this nice instrument. We
can’t wait until it’s finished so we can get our hands on it. |
 |
| Grant Holez contemplates the unusual bracing on the club’s
project guitar. We call it the “Frednautilus”. Well Grant, What do you think? |
 |
 |
Jenkins shows us his new banjo neck. You will hear more about his
banjo in the near future. His son-in-law is going to become a full
time builder and they will work together in this new venture. |
Also: John Timblin goes ELECTRIC for a customer who needed 4 custom guitars for
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). John is up to the task and says
he’ll use the two (2) pickup Gibson system as used on the Les
Paul model. We will try to follow this progress at the next meeting.
|
| Mike Daugherty brought a new flamenco as played by Chris Barker. It
sounds great when played by someone well trained. |
 |
| #2795 Gil Torrez and Bob Harris enjoy Dan’s “AS-10”. |

LINT
BUSINESS
For everyone who paid dues, your certificates of membership will be ready
by the next meeting (we hope).
We are going to be revising our website with the talent of John
Timblin and Moses McKnight, during the summer. We will have more on
that as we resolve the technical issues.
Frednautilus Project update: As the development team completes the
prototype instrument, we will contact all members who indicated a
desire to help make parts and arrange times and dates to start building.
