Bob Harris hosts at his historic Dallas home

Our December meeting was well attended and featured a tremendous amount of bartering and swapping among members. Excellent koa, Brazilian rosewood, an air compressor, a band saw, and large cabinets of repair parts, all changed hands.

The highlight of the meeting was probably founding member Bob Harris’ shop. Bob lives in central Dallas in a wonderfully restored craftsman style home. He built a perfectly designed shop in his back yard. All of the members (other than Bob) agreed it should be the new LINT clubhouse. The very first LINT meeting was held in a repair shop that Bob once owned in Dallas.

Bob is shown above demonstrating a couple of great jigs. One he uses to cut his own kerfing on a band saw. The other easily creates a pyramid style bridge

Several members showed instruments.

Hard times forced member Fred Fernsemer to pawn a eight string classical that he had commissioned back in the nineties. He recently came across the same instrument at the Arlington Guitar Show and is shown here re-united with his old friend.

The meeting ended with picking and refreshments in Bob’s dining room. All had a great time.
